It has been awhile. I hope you are all ready for Halloween and the
coming holiday season. Jessica has been working with me for several
months now. Learning my soap and lotion recipes and helping me with
customers and shipping out orders. She has been a joy to work with.
She's also teaching...Read Full Post »

I'd say I can't believe it's July but the heat would make a liar out of me! Life has been so busy
that sometimes you hardly have time to catch your breath. I have a new soap that will be listed

Hi everyone! We got much needed rain again last night and today! Garden is almost done. And
we completed a mini mudroom which I've wanted for a long time. I happened to be looking at
IKEA and saw a link to IKEA hacks where people took IKEA furniture and made it in to something
else. When I saw the Mini Mudroom I knew it was meant...Read Full Post »

I don't normally do interviews but I like Jason Baggett's vision for his paper Residentpress.com. He
wants to present a rural/small town/farm/homesteading paper with ideas for a cleaner healthier
lifestyle. Now he's talking my language.
Check out the article! He did a great job!!

Well we didn't get any of the rain that went through early this morning. Still warm but very windy.
IT's a balmy 64 degrees out there right now. After I finished chores hubby said hop in the mule
and we'll cruise the fence lines so off we go. A few mintues later and nearly to the other end of

will name it Mind Your Beeswax. It's made with beeswax, honey and vanilla also of course goat
milk, olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, sunfl...Read Full Post »

from me. Here it is almost Thanksgiving!! I hope you are all well and enjoying the fall weather. It
certainly has been nicer temperatures than it was a year ago. Today's high last year was 42 and
the low was 24. I have been real...Read Full Post »

So more pictures from the deer feeder. They are looking so nice! Notice a raccoon joins the fun!
We're still trying to get caught up around here. We cleaned the gutters on the front of the house
yesterday. There has to be an easier way to do this! I used Soilove (soil remover for clothes)
straight on a sponge with outdoor bleach. It did a pretty go...Read Full Post »

We've been trying to get caught up on everything that we let go because
of all the rain. We've mulched our flower beds and garden. A little over a
week ago we cleaned the goatie girls barn. Saturday we gave them their
Calvary 9 shots, wormer and trimmed hooves. (I don't normally worm
them unless they've been sick or ...Read Full Post »

So what happened to May? I'm sure it was here a little while ago. Really it did zoom past. We
went to the Fort Smith Farmer's Market this morning and even with all the weather problems they
had some nice veggies for sale. We got to visit with friends too! A very nice bonus! Then when
we got back home I trimmed all the goat h...Read Full Post »
